1. Project Summary

1.1. Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings (PEH) is seeking proposals from qualified Design-Build contractors for the complete construction of an affordable housing building. Habitat for Humanity PEH has already signed a purchase agreement for 93 Dundas Street East, conditional upon the site receiving a record of site condition. The results of the Phase 2 ESA are expected shortly. The site previously housed a police station, which was demolished in January 2026.

1.2. The project consists of a 66-unit, 5-storey structure plus abasement that includes, among other spaces, storage rooms, and the mechanical/electrical room (Appendix B). The building also includes two stairwells and two elevators. The project must be designed in accordance with the General Specifications (Appendix A). The project also includes the renovation of the Activity Centre to include a kitchen and washroom facilities.

1.3. Site services and features shown on the site plan including, landscaping, parking,and concrete sidewalks are included in the scope of work. A Site Plan Application process has commenced with the City of Belleville which includes a Site Plan, a Servicing and Stormwater Management Report, detailed servicing and grading plans, Geotechnical Report, Noise Study, Detailed Phase II environmental assessment and Record of Site Condition etc, as part of the overall development of these lands. Final approval of the project is anticipated prior to commencement of the works.
