The Cochrane District Services Board (CDSB) is seeking proposals from qualified Not-for-Profit licensed childcare service providers to create, operate, and deliver licensed childcare spaces in Matheson, Ontario, participating in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system. The successful proponent will establish and operate a high-quality childcare program that supports affordable, accessible, inclusive, and culturally responsive early learning services for families within the District of Cochrane. 

The selected service provider will be expected to:

• Create and operate licensed childcare spaces in accordance with Ontario's Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA);
• Participate in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program;
• Provide inclusive and accessible childcare services that support Anglophone, Francophone, Indigenous, and diverse communities;
• Collaborate with CDSB to support children with special needs and developmental delays;
• Maintain eligibility for CDSB Child Care Fee Subsidy participation;
• Develop and implement staffing, recruitment, operational, and service delivery plans; and
• Maintain compliance with all applicable municipal, provincial, and federal legislation, regulations, and licensing requirements. 

Eligible proponents must be a single legal Not-for-Profit organization. They must hold, or be prepared to obtain, the necessary childcare licensing approvals required to operate the proposed childcare centre. The successful proponent will negotiate a one-year service agreement with the CDSB.
