The Maritime Sikh Society (MSS) is seeking qualified contractors for the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of a 325.6 kW DC solar panel system at 10 Parkhill Rd, Halifax, NS. The system is required to produce an estimated 254,770 kWh annually to enhance the energy efficiency of the building and align with sustainability goals.

This project will include solar panel placement (rooftop, carport, or ground-mount), integration with building efficiency improvements, and compliance with all applicable provincial and local regulations, including Nova Scotia’s electrical and fire safety codes. The contractor is also required to submit certifications, permits, and design documentation from a qualified Nova Scotia registered professional electrical engineer.

Scope Includes:

Panel placement design and racking solutions.
Implementation of plug load management, lighting, and building envelope improvements.
Compliance with ANSI, CSA, UL, and IEC standards.
Setup of a net metering system.
Tracking and reporting on Community Employment Benefits (CEB) targets.
Submission of as-built single-line diagrams and operational manuals.
