The Town of St Marys intends to pre-qualify general contractors for the Renovations & Additions to the ST MARYS FIRE HALL project.

The St Marys Fire Hall is a single storey building with a building area of 430 m2 and a small mezzanine.
The existing structure is a combination of loadbearing concrete masonry and steel columns with open-web steel joist roof. The renovation work includes selective demolition of the building including some interior and exterior walls and some exterior wall finishes.

The area of the addition is approximately 429 m2 or approximately 4618 ft2. The completed design will include three double truck bays, office areas and service spaces.
The construction is planned for earliest Spring 2020. Construction start and completion is flexible but no later than late 2021. Construction tender to pre-qualified bidders will be issued late October 2019.

Submissions are invited from General Contractors with the following qualifications:
• Bonding capacity of $6M.
• Experience with similar work of relevant size and complexity.

Interested parties should submit a filled CCDC 11 form and their company brochures identifying the breadth and depth of experience, proof of bonding capacity, a list of similar and relevant projects with full information and resumes of main company personnel including the proposed Project Manager and Site Superintendent.
