The Town of Fort Smith is seeking professional asset management services to support the creation and development of a comprehensive Asset Management Plan (AMP) and Strategic Plan (AMSP). The successful proponent will ensure compliance with best practices for asset management, support sound capital planning, enhance lifecycle costing, and assist in developing long-term financial strategies. This effort will ensure better decision-making, optimized resource allocation, and improved asset sustainability for the Town. The Town currently uses DOT Software for asset management. The selected consultant will work within this platform to populate the database with updated and accurate information, ensuring proper cataloguing and classification of all assets. This document will inform: • Future operating and capital budgets, forecasts, and rate-setting exercises; and • A document to support future applications for provincial and/or federal funding.
