Project Title: Water Damage Repairs at Prince Township Community Center Hall/Bar Invitation to Tender The Corporation of the Township of Prince invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for repairs related to water damage at the Prince Township Community Center Hall/ Bar. This work involves debris removal, floor protection, structural repairs, flooring installation, insulation, drywall, cabinetry, plumbing, and final cleaning, as outlined below. ________________________________________ 1. Project Overview • Scope of Work: Repairs include debris removal, installation of floor protection, drywall and structural repairs, flooring installation, cabinetry, painting, plumbing adjustments, and a thorough post-construction cleaning. • Compliance: All work must meet Ontario building codes and standards, as well as Township procurement policies. 2. Submission Requirements • Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Tender for Water Damage Repairs at Prince Township Banquet Bar.” Email submissions will also be accepted. • Each submission must include: o A detailed cost breakdown for each task. o Proof of liability insurance (minimum $5,000,000) and active WSIB status. o Timeline for project completion. o References for similar projects completed in the past five years. 4. Scope of Work The selected contractor will be responsible for: • Debris Removal: Pickup and proper disposal of debris, including dump fees. • Floor Protection: Install skid-resistant, leak-proof protective cloth to safeguard flooring. • Main Level Repairs: o Drywall: Patch and prepare damaged areas for painting. o Insulation and Sheathing: Install R22 unfaced batt insulation and OSB sheathing. o Cabinetry and Countertop Installation: Install lower cabinetry units and plastic laminate countertop in the bar area. o Vinyl Cove Installation: Install 4-inch vinyl cove wrap along flooring edges. o Painting: Apply one coat of PVA primer and two coats of paint. • Flooring Installation: Supply and install vinyl plank flooring across the designated floor areas to match the current flooring. • Plumbing Adjustments: Remove old piping, re-install the old sink and faucet, adjust plumbing for the dishwasher, and ensure compliance with code. • Final Cleaning: Complete a post-construction cleaning to ensure a ready-to-use space. 5. Evaluation Criteria Tenders will be evaluated based on the following criteria: • Project Understanding and Compliance (30%): Alignment with the project scope and specifications. • Cost (30%): Overall project cost, including breakdown. • Experience and References (20%): Previous relevant experience and client feedback. • Timeline (10%): Ability to meet the specified completion date with minimal disruptions. • Regulatory Compliance (10%): Compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and Township policies. 6.
