Description: |
The Village of Hartley Bay, BC (Hartley Bay) is located at the confluence of Grenville and Douglas Channels, approximately 145 km south of Prince Rupert. Hartley Bay has a unique treated lumber and timber boardwalk system that serves as the main transport system throughout the community. These boardwalks are deteriorating and require removal and to be replaced with a roadway. The community fuel tanks also have come to the end of their service life. Gitga'at First Nation (the Owner) invites Tender Responses from professional, qualified and experienced firms to replace multiple sections of boardwalk in Hartley Bay with a reinforced concrete panel road, construct a new fuel tank farm and fuel line, remove above-ground storage tanks, and upgrade watermain, storm and sanitary system around the community. A portion of the work will also require remedial excavation, hauling, and disposal of contaminated soil from a historic diesel spill. |
