The primary objective of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is for communities to demonstrate their interest and readiness to offer Retrofit Assist in their community. Applications will be reviewed by Community Energy Association (CEA) to confirm local capacity and resources, understand community alignment with program goals, and plan the next few years of Retrofit Assist expansion. By submitting an EOI, participating communities confirm their interest and ability to launch a localized retrofit program. Following a comprehensive review of all submissions, selected applicants will be invited to move forward into the implementation phase. This partnership will provide the chosen participating communities with a full program delivery to drive energy retrofits, reduce community greenhouse gas emissions, increase local industry capacity, and enhance local building resilience. We invite anyone interested in launching Retrofit Assist in their community between 2026 and 2028 to apply. CEA is prepared to expand Retrofit Assist starting in 2026, and thus priority will be given to those ready to launch this year. However, all communities that express interest will be contacted.
