Project Schedule 

Prequalification Period: September 2022 Anticipated Contract Awarded: October 11, 2022 Project Completion Date: May 2023 

Bidders will be invited from a list of pre-qualified General Contractors. SJCCC reserves the right to limit General Contractor selection to six firms. Only General Contractors who have completed commercial / institutional buildings of a similar value will be considered. In the evaluation process, strong emphasis will be placed on the management team and site superintendent proposed, including the experience of the firm in this type of construction, scheduling, construction workmanship, correction of deficiencies, health & safety and working with local sub-trades. 

Applicants are asked to provide any information which specifically addresses these areas. 

General Contractors interested in being pre-qualified to bid must submit the following: • Completed CCDC Document No. 11; • Resumes of Site Superintendent and Alternate who will manage the project; • Letter from a Surety Company licensed to conduct business in the Province of Ontario stating total bonding limit, availability of required bonding for this project – 50% Performance Bond and a 10% Bid Bond – assume construction value approximately $1.5 M; • Letter of reference from current bank of the respondent providing the status of the firm’s current financial position; • Three references from current and completed projects including contact name, firm / company, position, telephone and e-mail address; • WSIB Clearance Certificate; 

• Letter from the applicant’s Insurance Company stating general comprehensive liability coverage to a minimum of $5,000,000.
